The two ovaries are the organs of reproduction in females present in the abdomen. Cancer of the ovaries occurs in older age group.
Cancer of the ovary is the most fatal female cancer, one of the reasons for this being that it cannot be diagnosed early enough.
Uterus present in the lower part of the abdomen, is the organ where the foetus normally resides during pregnancy.
Uterus is very much liable to develop, hard, roundish masses in its walls, which also protrude into cavity of the uterus, and cause excessive bleeding. They may be present more than one at a time. They are called fibroids and they are not cancer.
Not all enlargements of the testes are cancerous. More often it is epidedymitis, inflammation of the tubes, leading to and from the testes, or even presence of fluid in the pouch around the testes, the condition called hydrocele, that causes an enlarged testes.
It is cancer of the placenta, the tissue that links foetus with the uterus of the mother during pregnancy. It is a rare cancer.
The two kidneys present in the abdomen, clean the blood of the various harmful metabolic products such as urea, creatinine, and keep a balance of water and other electrolytes in the body.
Cancer of the penis is a frequent male cancer in all races which do not practice circumcision. Its incidence is highly variable: it is rare among Jews anywhere. It accounts for less than one per cent of male cancers in the United States.
Cancer of the muscles can occur anywhere in the body. It is easy to diagnose because it is present in the superficial surfaces of the body, such as the extremities and the abdomen. It is not a common cancer.

It arises from the cells of the sympathetic nerves and in the adrenal glands. These nerves are spread over all parts of the body. The cancer occurs more commonly in the abdomen. The cancer spreads rapidly in the body through the blood vessels as well as lymphatic channels. The cancer cells produce a substance called catecholamine which raises the blood pressure.
Cancer of the bone occur both in the young and the old, in males and females. This cancer is of various types. The common among them are as follows:
1. Osteogenic Sarcoma.
2. Ewing’s Sarcoma.
3. Multiple Myeloma.
Prevention of cancer attempts to eliminate the disease by protecting the individual and the community from the causative agent. This is called primary prevention. This involves environmental monitoring of cancer-causing agents (carcinogens), identification of high risk groups and procedures to abolish any contact between the carcinogen and the host.
