Our Brain/MIND is the beholder and Charioteer of our Body. All the time, it is busy collecting the data from what we see with our eyes; what we hear with our ears; feed the taste from our mouth and smell from our nose and touch sensations from our hands and the total body, along with emotional stimuli. Then, the brain processes this data and compares it with data already stored and responds accordingly and also stores all this in the memory to be recalled later when ever required.
Thus, the brain needs almost ten times more oxygenated blood than any other organ of the body, because, all the sense ending in the brain need oxygen for their action. The magnetic Imaging Technique has shown that whenever brain cells are called upon to carry out tasks like the recognizing a face or seeing a picture etc., the brain cells release a chemical that summons oxygenated blood from tiny arteries in the brain. Thus, for proper brain function, we need to nourish it with oxygenated blood carrying also the glucose and other nutrients for the brain cells.
And according to brain specialists, it is the left side of the brain which systematically collects this information from various senses of our body and responds to act accordingly. The pituitary gland which is called the Director of all glandular orchestra of our body is actuated by the left brain and total left brain along with pituitary gland is stimulated by the word N-the seed word of BROW Chakra.
Also the subsidiary words K,Kh, G also stimulate the left brain and it is the left brain which is mostly used by our present day education system of collecting data and reading and memorizing it, while the right half of the human brain is used for more creative mental and intuitive functions and has the capacity to expand spatially because much of our brain’s capacity remains unutilized. The right part of the brain is stimulated by the word M-the seed word for Crown Chakra. It comes to the help of overstrained left brain when ever necessary.
And the word AN yokes us with Infinity-the super- consciousness to draw in as much pranic life energy as possible. Thus, the word AN is the Transducer of super-consciousness and acts as a bridge between the left and right brain to expand the total brain’s action and strengthen the intercommunion between the left brain and right brain. It also helps to give intuition and clairvoyance to our Mind.
Develop Left Side of the Brain
The simplest suggestive breathing mantra for stimulating the left brain is:-
(1) Exhale with = BRAINY
Inhale with = BRAN NAN
The word ‘N’ as said above stimulates the left brain and the word BR contained in the word brain also helps to improve our cardio – vascular system to breathe and circulate blood to its optimum capacity. The word BR helps to breathe from the abdomen with R and from the lungs with B to supply the much needed oxygen. The inhale mantra
BRANAN is like prana in its effects and is able to supply oxygen/pranic energy-life giver to the brain actions as said above.
Another very suggestive breathing mantra to develop the left brain is:-
(2) Exhale with = INTELLIGENT
Inhale with = LAJATANANT
This Mantra stimulates the Muladhara basic Chakra with its seed word ‘L’ and kindles the divine Kundalini energy to illuminate the left brain with its seed word ‘N’. The word J helps the heart to circulate blood to its optimum capacity to improve brain’s action, while the word “T” helps to stimualte the taste sense endings in the brain.
Develop Right Side of the Brain
As said above, the seed word for strengthening the upper right side brain is “M’ and the word Premium can provide Pranic life energy to it because the word ‘PR’ like ‘BR’ helps to breathe to our optimum capacity from the lungs with ‘P’ and from the abdomen with ‘R’ thus augmenting inhalation of oxygen and Pranic Life Energy. Also the words ‘MIUM’ set up resonant sonic vibrations in the right brain to stimulate the neurons, because of double’M’ present as MAM/’MIUM’ in the Mantra.
(3) Thus exhale with = PREMIUM
Inhale with = PRAMMAM
Another breathing mantra for the right side of the brain is ;-
(4) Exhale with = MEMORY-RE-ZOOM
Inhale with = ARRA-ZAMAMMMM
The word ‘R’ gives fire to our body by helping in proper digestion of food we take, and the word ‘Z’ helps the heart and the lungs to breathe to its optimum capacity to augment the supply of pranic life energy to the right side of the brain with ‘M\ It really helps to rezoom the action of right brain.
Develop Both Left And Right Brain
If we add the word ‘M’ to the breathing mantra No. 1, given above, we stimulate the left brain with ‘N’ and the right brain with ‘M’.
(5) Exhale with = I AM BRAINY/IMMI-BRAINY
Inhale with = BRANAM-MAN
(6) Similarly Exhale with = I AM INTELLIGENT OR IMMI-INTELLIGENT
Inhale with = LAJ ATAN AM M ANT
As we age, our upper body sags which can create kinks in the spine that squeeze the two arteries passing through the cervical region of the spinal column to the brain. This results in inadequate supply of blood to the brain and according to Dr. Schemerl “This diminished blood supply to the brain can cause fuzzy thinking and forgetfulness.” Hunched over posture can contribute to stroke like symptoms known as transient ischemic attacks which are brief black out periods. To overcome this, try always to sit up straight. Besides sitting straight, we also use the word H in the breathing mantra to strengthen the thyriod gland as well as to re-establish the communication links in the cervical region of the spine around the neck :
(7) Inhale with = ALLA-BRAHAN-NAMAND
Exhale with = MINHI-BRILLIANT
This is indeed a rejuvenating mantra for both sides of the brain to make it brilliant. This is the ultimate breathing mantra to bring about SYMPHONY of BODY, MIND AND SOUL.
i) The word L kindles the divine kundalini energy to illuminate our mind.
ii) The word R improves our digestion to feed the proper nutrition to our brain from the nourishing food we take to provide heat/fire to our body also.
iii) The word B helps us to breathe better. The word breathe itself contains the word BR because it helps us to breathe totally i.e. from the lungs with B and from the abdomen with R.
iv) The word H as said earlier is the seed word for throat chakra. This strengthens the thyroid gland for better carbohydrates/fat metabolism in our body and improve the communication link between the heart and the brain through the cervical region of the spine.
v) The word N is the seed word for brow chakra. It strengthens the left brain and pituitary gland.
vi) The word M is the seed word for crown chakra. It strengthens the right brain and the pineal galnd.
vii) The word MAND yokes us with Infinity – the super consciousness to draw in as much pranic life energy as possible and settle at the word D which helps to improve our all tastes in life. The word MAND helps to improve our Mind.
Thus, if we inhale/exhale with the above breathing mantras silently for five minutes in the morning and evening in a pollution free atmosphere slowly and steadily, we will completely rejuvenate our brain/memory system.
Last but not the least, a very suggestive breathing mantra to impart brilliance to our modern day Managers who have to use a lot of brain/ memory power is:-
(8) Exhale with = MANAGERIAL
Inhale with = ALLA-RAJA-NAM
This mantra stimulates both the left brain with N and the right brain with M. Thus, this very suggetive mantra goads us to become good managers as well as fulfill our total brain with pranic life energy and with God’s Effulgence with L.
