Our body is a temple of God who has animated our BEING — our temple with the soul (Atmah), part of that infinitum soul, which we in Hindi language call Pramatman which means the Greatest Soul-the soul of souls, encampassing the whole universe, the super-soul, being Omni-Scient, Omni-present and Omnipotent through the power of which this whole universe is in purposeful vibration and radiance.
Each person has its own individual soul, rich with its past experience in its onward journey of evolution through ages, as per our Hindu religion. Our life is like a flowing river becoming bigger and evolving, with merger of new streams and ultimately this individual river becomes one with the sea, at the end of its journey. But as long as it is flowing on land, it has its own identity, its own origin, its own name, its own path to follow, but with the difference that the human kind has been endowed with the wish and will power of its own, to change its own destined course, if it desires to do so.
And human beings are more like the river which is about to merge into the sea, the waves of sea also incoming into the river to upgrade it, uplift it, to rejuvenate it and this in the breathing mantra therapy is denoted by the word AN, when through the current of breath, one gets united with the infinitum source, the super-consciousness.
And the Kundalini-a potential life energy source, which according to the sages, is normally lying dormant like a coiled serpent, but can be made dynamic with the sonic resonant vibrations of the power of the words L, S, V- the words constituting the VESSEL. Thus, Kundalini is the Vessel full of potential energy. I am comparing Kundalini to the SNOW in the mountains, which when melts gives the current of flow of water to the river at its source, which continuously gets melted with heat and solar energy and is thus the primary source, feeding to the river, it is also like a Bank Balance of Energy- if it has rained more, the snow is more, if the sun is more hot, the flow of water current is more. Thus, we have also to continuously feed ourself with food energy, which gives us the heat, and flow of life.
Thus Inhale with = SWATMAN or SHAVA-ATMAN
Exhale with = IMTEESH-SHIV or IMTEEV-WISH
The inhale mantra SWA-ATMAN is a good mantra to inhale with, first it reminds me about myself (SWA) as part of that super consciousness, secondly, as said above, the word SWA can Kindle the Kundalini and move it up alongwith the breath to join our self with the super consciousness, with the power of the word ATMAN. The word AN stands for superconsciousness as said earlier and the word M is the seed word for crown chakra in the Head and strengthens the right brain, mind and the pacifying pineal gland and the word T strengthens the muscles of the teeth and improves our tastes for all things in life and also strengthens the salivary glands in the mouth, and pituitary gland to boost our immune system.
Inhale/Exhale with the above mantra by speaking the mantra inwardly, smoothly, rhythmically and deeply and as non-violently as possible to simulate the natural breathing. Let us give a pause of a second or more, at the end of each inhalation and exhalation. The larger the pause, better it would be but convenience is the watch-word, never exceed your limits and that is the key to stress free existence in this world. You will start experiencing bliss during these pauses, after practice, with these mantras for sometimes, because of the fusion of inhale (male) and exhale (female) breathing currents during pause period.
Thus, this mantra helps to melt the snow in the Kundilini and yokes it with the super soul; thus establishing our link with God for our continuous upliftment and thus we can enter the Kingdom of bliss, which is our ultimate aim.
2) Last, but not the least we can also inhale/ exhale with the slight modification of the above mantra, to make Swatmah into Swatman (myself)
The word ‘N’ the seed word of brow chakra stimulates the left brain & the master pituitary gland.
Inhale with = SWA-ATMAN
Exhale with = OOMNI-SWEET
Thus, inhale deeply the God’s Sweetness and spread it all around saying things to one and all with flowers.
OM TAT SAT (AMEEN)
