Ulcers improve when the north polarity is applied directly on the area. Drinking magnetically treated water has also helped. Overactive adrenal glands can also cause ulcers and may need to be looked at and given the necessary magnetic polarity.
Magnet Therapy: Duration of Treatment
Treatments of 15 to 30 minutes twice a day are sufficient for most conditions if pulsed magnetic forces are used; half an hour to several days if permanent magnets are used; or up to 30 days or more if magnetic flex pads or magnetic foils are used.
Magnet Therapy: Research and Treatments
Studies have shown that magnetically treated water increases plant growth. It was found that plants watered only with magnetically treated South Pole water increased their growth compared to plants watered with tap water.
Magnet Therapy: Types of Permanent Magnets
Magnets are available in all shapes, sizes and powers. Now the choice of magnet to be used rests solely with the magneto-therapist. Disc-shaped magnets are ideal for the palms, soles and the torso. But for uneven parts like the forehead, eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and throat, crescent-shaped magnets are the best.
Magnet Therapy: How Safe is Magnet Therapy
Precautions
All bio-magnetic aids should be kept away from fire. The patient should desist from cold drinks and food for an hour after the use of belly and knee belts. Bath should also be abstained from for an hour after the use of magnets.
Magnet Therapy: The Spin Force of Magnets
There is a biological force around the human body that appears to be a special type of spin force. It presumably exists around all living things. It is virtually everywhere. This force is not magnetic but its amplitude varies with changes in the earth’s magnetic field.
Magnet Therapy: Magnetization of Water
We have already talked about the effect of magnets on all life forms including liquids. The drinking of magnetized water, along with magnetic treatment, is recommended by most magneto-therapists. It forms a complete treatment. Magnetized water can also be consumed as a preventive as well as a post-treatment maintenance regimen.

Magnetic Beads
These are tiny magnets which are taped over acupuncture points.

Magnet Therapy: Electromagnetic Fields
Natural permanent magnetic fields are not to be confused with the alternating electromagnetic fields associated with high-tension electrical power lines. The human being is bombarded everyday with smaller amounts of electromagnetic charge emanating from electrical conveniences with which we surround ourselves. A restored negative, permanent magnetic field can help counteract these effects.
Magnet Therapy: Modern Research on Magnet Therapy
Philpott, who has co-authored Brain Allergies: The Psycho-Nutrient Connection, Victory Over Diabetes: A Bio-Ecologic Triumph, Biomagnetic Handbook: A Guide to Medical Magnets, The Energy Medicine of Tomorrow and several other books, summarises the benefits of magnetism as follows:
