The general methods of treatment in Auto-urine Therapy can be classified clearly into four essentials, which are:
1. Fasting
2. Drinking
3. Massaging
4. Pack-applying
1. Fasting
As already mentioned that Armstrong, who was the first man in Europe to experiment with urine-treatment, fasted continuously on his own urine plus water, for 45 days, which brought complete cure to him from all his previous ailments.
No doubt, fasting helps in the speedy elimination of toxic wastes in the body, which we have already described as the important part of Nature-cure treatment.
However complete fasting and for such a long period may not be so necessary in Urine-therapic treatment, which can have its effect even without resorting to fasting.
In support of this I may mention that I cured my prostrate gland only by the intake of self-urine, even massaging was rare, not by complete fasting. My diet was natural and simple as advised in Nature-cure treatment.
I think that treatment even without fasting is one benefit that Urine-therapy affords over Nature-cure. Nature-cure has no meaning without fasting, but in Urine-therapy practice, one could avoid fasting, with the difference that, with complete fast the period of treatment and cure is much less than otherwise. Fasting may also be essential in very chronic cases, or in emergency.
However, a complete fast on urine (plus water) does not affect the body so much as a fast on mere water, because of urea of nutritional value that urine contains.
Urine maintains the physical energy even in fast, because of urea, as also its alkaline elements, like the mineral salts, vitamins and enzymes. Thus taking urine, with the use of normal diet, may not have the desired effect of elimination of the waste products from the body as completely or as fast as fasting totally on urine denying all foods.
In a way, a fast completely on urine serves three purposes, that is, it performs three functions simultaneously, viz., fighting the disease, killing the poisons and keeping the body nourished at the same time. As for the mode of fasting, it should be on scientific lines as already described in the relevant chapter on Nature-cure.
During the fast, urine is generally taken during the day and the night urine is preserved in bottles for massage in the following days. Enema and massage with urine must continue.
As in the case of Nature-cure treatment by fast, here also during the fast on urine, body will throw out its waste sometimes violently, causing vomiting, headache and perspiration etc., but those should not be a cause for worry and be welcomed as symptoms of cure.
Such reactions are short-lived and are passed off in a day or two and should be faced bravely. The fast should be broken with moong water, or orange juice, to be continued for a couple of days and then gradually followed by normal diet.
