A – DIET
I. Raw juice diet for 3 to 5 days. Take a glass of fresh orange or lemon juice, diluted with water on 50:50 basis, every two hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and use lukewarm water enema daily during this period.
II. An all-fruit diet for further 3 to 5 days, with three meals a day of fresh juicy fruits such as apple, ‘pear, peach, papaya, grapes, orange and pineapple.
III. Thereafter, gradually adopt a well-balanced diet on the following lines:
1. Upon arising: A glass of lukewarm water with half a freshly-squeezed lime and a teaspoon of honey.
2. Breakfast: Fresh fruit and a glass of milk, sweetened with honey.
3. Lunch: A bowl of freshly-prepared steamed vegetable such as carrot, cabbage, cauliflower, squash and beans, two or three whole wheat chapatis and a glass of butter milk.
4. Mid-afternoon: A glass of vegetable or fruit juice.
5. Dinner: A large bowl of salad of fresh green vegetable such as lettuce, carrot, cabbage, cucumber, tomatoes, radish, red beets and onion and sprouts such as alfalfa and mung beans with lemon juice dressing.
6. Bedtime Snack: A glass of milk.
AVOID: Tea, coffee, sugar, white flour, all products made with sugar and white flour, all refined foods, fried foods, and flesh foods as well as condiments and pickles.
B. Other Measures
1. Apply heating compress to the throat.
2. Gargle the throat with hot water, mixed with a little Ball and lime juice, several times daily.
3. Massage the throat.
4. Take warm-water bath.
5. Fresh air, deep breathing and other exercises.
