A – DIET
I. An all-fruit diet for three to five days. Take three meals a day of fresh juicy fruits at five-hourly intervals.
II. Thereafter, adopt a well-balanced diet on the following lines:
1. Upon arising: 25 black raisins soaked overnight in water along with the water in which they are soaked and water kept overnight in a copper vessel.
2. Breakfast: Fresh fruit, a glass of milk, sweetened with honey and few nuts, especially almonds.
3. Lunch: Freshly prepared steamed vegetables, whole wheat chappatis with butter or brown rice and a glass of buttermilk.
4. Mid-afternoon: A glass of fruit juice or sugarcane juice.
5. Dinner: A good sized raw vegetable salad and sprouts with vegetable oil and lime juice dressing, followed by a hot course if desired.
6. Bedtime Snack: A glass of milk with few dates.
Home remedies: Musk melon, mango-milk diet, figs, raisins, vitamins D and B6, calcium and magnesium.
AVOID: Tea, coffee, sugar, white flour and products made from them, refined foods, fried foods, flesh foods, alcohol and smoking.
B – OTHER MEASURES
1. Brisk walk for 45 minutes morning and evening.
2. Yogasanas such as uttanpadasana, pavanamuktasana, vajrasana, yogamudra and shavasana.
