Diet Cure: Treatment Chart for Rheumatism

A – DIET

I. Fast on orange juice and water for three to five days. Take warm water enema daily during this period.

II. An all-fruit diet for further three to five days, taking three meals a day of fresh juicy fruits at Five hourly intervals.

III. Thereafter, adopt a well-balanced diet as follows:

1. Upon arising: A glass of lukewarm water with halt a freshly-squeezed lime and a teaspoon of honey.
2. Breakfast: Fresh fruit, a glass of milk sweetened with honey and some seeds or nuts.
3. Lunch: A bowl of freshly-prepared steamed vegetables, two or three whole wheat chappatis and a glass of butter milk.
4. Mid-afternoon: A glass of fresh fruit or vegetable juice.
5. Dinner: Raw vegetable said and sprouts with lime juice dressing, followed by a hot course if, desired.

Home remedies: Raw potato juice, bitter gourd juice, fluid extract of celery seeds, lemon juice, white flour and products made from them, refined foods, fried foods, flesh foods, condiments, pickles, alcohol and smoking.

B – OTHER MEASURES

1. Application of heat and hot packs to the affected parts.
2. Hot tub bath and cabinet steam bath.
3. A hot-Epsom salts bath at night twice a week for three months.
4. Daily dry friction.
5. Fresh air, deep breathing, light outdoor exercises and yoga asanas.
6. Avoid dampness and cold.
