Taking of drugs or so called “remedies” in case of impotence and premature ejaculation is not only useless but dangerous. Diet is an important factor in these conditions. To begin with, the patient should adopt an exclusive fresh fruit diet from five to seven days.
In this regimen, he can have three meals a day of fresh juicy fruits such as grapes, oranges, apples, pears, peaches, pineapples and melons. The bowels should be cleansed daily during this period with a warm water enema.
After the all-fruit diet, the patient may gradually embark upon a balanced diet of the three basic food groups, namely seeds, nuts and grains, vegetables and fruits with generous amounts of special rejuvenative foods such as whey, soured milk, particularly made from goat’s milk, millet, garlic, honey, cold-pressed vegetable oils and yeast.
The patient should avoid smoking, alcohol, tea, coffee, and all processed, canned, refined and denaturated foods, especially white sugar and white flour and products made therefrom.
Research has shown that malnutrition contributes to impotency. It has been established that protein, essential fatty acids, vitamin E and several of the B vitamins are essential for the production of sex hormones. A lack of protein can result in loss of sex interest and a decrease in sperm count. Lack of vitamin E can lead to degeneration of testicles and decrease in both the sex hormones and the pituitary hormone gonadotropin, which stimulate the sex glands.
Leland Kordel, one of the best known nutritionists, reports that hundreds of cases of impotency have responded to diets rich in protein, vitamin A, vitamin B-complex and Vitamin D. According to him, protein keeps the thyroid well-nourished and there is a close link between the thyroid and sex glands; vitamin A keeps the mucous membrane in good condition and thus helps the functioning of the testicles; vitamin B1 helps the pituitary gland to keep mating desire normal; choline helps the liver to manufacture hormones. Vitamin D found in codliver oil and other fatty foods help virility.
Vigorous massage all over the body is highly beneficial in the treatment as it will revive the muscular vigour which is essential for nervous energy. The nerves of the genital organs are controlled by the pelvic region. Hence, a cold hip bath for 10 minutes in the morning or evening will be very effective.
Every effort should be made to build up the general health-level to the highest degree and fresh air and outdoor exercise are essentials to the success of the treatment.
The scheme of treatment outlined above will go a long way in restoring sexual function, but of course the results achieved will depend upon the age and condition of the sufferer. Where the troubles are of psychological origin, treatment should be just the same, but in these cases advice from a qualified psychotherapist would be highly desirable. The patient also requires a little gentle handling by a willing partner.
The general diseases like syphillis and gonorrhoea are quite amenable to successful treatment by proper dietary and other natural methods, leaving no ill-effects to mar the future life and happiness of their victims.
The suppressive drugs employed by the modern medical system in their treatment simply halts the active manifestation of the diseases in the victim’s system for the time being. The disease-poisons and the metallic drugs used are still left in the patient’s system and these have a most destructive effect upon the tissues and structures of the body, especially upon the nervous tissues.
The only safe way of treating venereal diseases is fasting. All cases of syphillis and gonorrhoea can be cured through fasting. This will not only prevent dreaded after- effects, but will also greatly enhance the whole general health-level of the patient by thorough cleansing of his system.
The juice of an orange, in a glass of warm water, may be taken during this period. If orange juice disagrees, vegetable juices may be taken. Each day while fasting, it should be ensured that the bowels are cleansed of the effete and poisonous matter thrown off by the self- cleansing process now set up by the body. This can be achieved through a warm water enema. The fast may be continued from seven to fourteen days.
After the fast, the patient, may adopt an exclusive fruit diet for further five days. He should, thereafter, gradually embark upon a balanced diet of three basic food groups as outlined in the treatment for impotence, avoiding all the foods mentioned therein.
Major A. Austin, a doctor in the Royal Army Medical Corps in Great Britain in his book, “Direct Paths to Health” mentions the case of a syphillis patient aged 27 years who was cured only by dietetic treatment. Dr. Austin narrates the case as under:
“Mr. A., aged twenty-seven, came to me suffering from tertiary syphillis. The classic drugs had been used, including mercury and ‘606’ (known now under various names, such as salvarsan, neo-salvarsan, arsenobenzol, all being similar and based on arsenic), but it had not stopped the ravages of the disease. His face and body were covered with rupial eruptions – ulcers covered with a scab – and the odour from his body was most unpleasant.
“I prescribed a fourteen days’ fast with a saline purge daily, plenty of water and as much strained orange juice diluted with water as he liked to drink during the day. At the end of the fourteen days he was allowed two meals a day, one of them consisting of nothing but properly cooked vegetables and some butter, and the other of milk and fresh fruit.
“In six weeks from the date of commencing the treatment all the eruptions had disappeared, as well as the foul odour of the body, and he was feeling remarkably well and has remained so ever since. ”
Vegetable juices are highly beneficial in the treatment of venereal diseases. Juices which are particularly helpful include those of carrot, cucumber, beet and spinach. The patient may make liberal use of carrot juice either in combination with spinach juice or cucumber and beet.
In case of syphillis, a “T’ pack should be employed for an hour for the local treatment of the initial sore and it should be repeated twice daily. All clothes, sheets and towels, used by the patient should be handled carefully to avoid new sores and to prevent infection to others.
It is better to boil all such articles. In case of eruption on the different parts of the body, a wet sheet pack for an hour is beneficial. It will help bring out all the poisonous substances of the skin by producing more eruptions which will gradually dry up.
Application of pelvic packs occasionally for an hour is one of the most effective methods of treatment in case of gonorrhoea. As irritation in the prostate gland and urethra is present in this disease, hot hip bath for eight minutes has a beneficial effect as it tends to relieve irritation.
An occasional steam bath for either minutes is of outstanding value in both syphillis and gonorrhoea. It will help remove the poisonous substances from the body and enable the kidney to perform its work effectively. An overall massage has also beneficial effect upon the entire body.
