U can be used for the pelvis, hips, legs, feet, and lower body in general, O for the lower trunk and abdomen area from the solar plexus to the groin. A is for the chest cavity, heart, and the body as a whole. E is for the throat, upper chest, and head regions. I is for the back, skull and head regions.
If, with the aid of our thoughts and imagination, we can suffuse our whole body with the vowel sounds, we can restore balance and life to all aspects of it. We can use the vowel sounds as an alternative to music in balancing and stimulating the chakras.
Many people excuse themselves from the process of healing through sound, music, or voice by saying they can’t play a musical instrument, they can’t sing, they can’t get to the library to borrow music in the appropriate key, they don’t know nursery songs which every child knows and so on.
These are mere excuses. If they can speak, they can balance themselves. They don’t have to be expert musicians.
Breath is important to the process of toning. Breath refers to that quick intake or gasp of energy that carries an image or thought to the subconscious. All aspects of toning are related to breath.
Breath is life. When we become aware of our breathing patterns, we have greater control over them. As we work with toning and become more balanced, our breathing becomes more fluid, healthy, and harmonious.
