NATRUM MURIATICUM
Anger over trifles. Worse from consolation. Dwells on past disagreeable occurrences. Hatred of those who offended. Young girls who become love-lorn or fall in love with married men. Cannot weep in grief Ailments from grief, or disappointment in love.
Unquenchable thirst. Craving for salt. Infantile; loss of flesh though eating well. Emaciation marked in the neck. Children late in learning to talk or walk. Headache from eyestrain preceded by blurred vision. WORSE : 10 to 11 a.m.; at seashore; heat of sun; mental exertion. BETTER : open air; cold bathing.
NATRUM SULPH.
Mental effects from injuries to head. Chronic effects from blows (weak memory, epilepsy) or concussion of head. Depressed, lively music makes her sad. Satiety of life. Ailments from damp weather, damp houses. Cannot tolerate sea air nor eat plants that thrive near water.Humid asthma in children, with every change to wet weather. Pneumonia : lower lobe of left lung; great soreness of chest during cough; has to sit up in bed and hold the chest with both hands.
NITRIC ACID
Affects especially the mucus outlets of the body where skin and mucous membranes join (mouth, nose, rectum, urethra, vagina). Mouth : ulcers easily bleeding in corners of mouth (Nairn); Sensation of splinter in affected part (ulcers, piles, throat, in growing toenail WORSE on slightest touch.
Pain as if rectum or anus were torn or fissured; violent cutting pain after stool. Urine : scanty, dark brown; strong smelling like “horse’s” urine; cold- when it passes.
NUX VOMICA
Bad effects of long continued mental over-exertion; sedentary habits, loss of sleep. Disposed to be quarrelsome spiteful, malicious. Persons of an ardent character, spiteful. Oversensitive to noise, odours or light; trifling ailments are intolerable. Repugnance to cold or cold air; must be covered in every stage of fever shaking chill.
Nausea feels “If 1 could only vomit I would be so much better, Ineffectual desire to vomit; to pass stool. Sleepy after dinner; from anxiety, high living. Lumbar pain, must sit up in order to turn in bed. Menses too early, profuse, last too long. Labour pains causeurging to stool or to urinate; prefers a warm room. FEVER : body burning hot, yet cannot move or uncover without being chilly.
