FEEDING PROBLEMS
Borax – Sore mouth of nursing children. Aphthae of the tongue and mouth which bleed easily. Dread of downward motion, or fear of falling when being carried downwards. Aphthae with hot breath. Lets go the nipple and cries with pain. Screams before urination.
Bryonia – Infant refuses breast till mouth is moistened. Sore mouth of infant.
Calcarea phos. – Child refuses breast milk as it tastes salty. Wants to nurse all the time. Vomits easily. Every bite hurts the stomach.
Cina – Hungry soon after eating (capricious appetite). Wants to be nursed all the time. Lies on abdomen. Sleeps only when violently rocked.
CHILD’S DEVELOPMENT ARRESTED
Baryta Carb.- Child cannot be taught because he cannot remember. He is dwarfish mentally as well as physically. Childish, infantile behaviour. Lack of self-confidence. Indecisive. Shy of strangers. Thinks he is laughed at or made fun of. Hides behind furniture or behind mother and keeping his hands over his face, peeps through his fingers. Does not want to play; sits in a corner doing nothing.
Calcarea phos. Child emaciated, unable to stand, slow in learning to walk. Sunken flabby abdomen Cranial bones thin and brittle; fontanelles and sutures remain open too long. Delayed or complicated teething. Neck weak, unable to support head.
