Apis – Tonsile swollen, fiery red, stinging pain while swallowing; better from cold drinks.
Belladonna – Tonsils enlarged. Tonsillitis worse right side. Swallowing difficult; drinks in sips. Must take a drink to swallow solid food.
Baryta carb. – Enlarged tonsils, affected by every cold. Chronic quinsy. Pain in throat worse empty swallowing. Can swallow only liquids
Hepar sulph. – Swelling of tonsils and glands of the neck. Quinsy. Sensation as if a fish-bone or splinter sticking in the throat, extending to ear when swallowing. Extremely sensitive to cold air; exposure to dry cold wind. The slightest injury causes suppuration.
Lachesis – Tonsillitis; quinsy. Inflammation of Left Tonsils. Swallowing painful, especially empty swallowing; solids easier than liquids.Warm drinks aggravate. Pressure on external throat excessively painful.
Lycopodium – Swelling and suppuration of tonsils. Worse cold drinks. Right sided complaints in the throat.
Psorinum – Tonsils greatly swollen; painful swallowing, with pain in the ears. Tough mucus in throat. Recurring quinsy. Eradicatestendency to quinsy.
