Gelsemium – Anticipatory anxiety before examination.Stage fright of singers and speakers. Timidity appearing in public. Dread of falling; of ordeals. Child grasps the nurse, and screams as if afraid of failing.
Lycopodium – Increasing dread of appearing in public, lest he stumble and make mistakes, yet, once he starts he gets through very well with ease.
Nux vomica – Anxiety and irritability with no particular cause. Fear to be alone. Wakes from troubled, busy dreams. Nux vomica is irritable and chilly; with hyperaesthesia mental and.physical.
SADNESS, DEPRESSION, HYPOCHONDRIASIS
Aurum met. – Intense, hopeless depression and disgust of life. Imagines he is unfit for the world. Filled with intense delight at the thought of death; longs to die. Hopelessness; future looks dark; self-reproach.
Natrum mur. – Dwells on past unpleasant events. Hates those who offended him. Easily weeps; wants to be alone; averse to company. Consolation aggravates. The remedy of unrequited love. Dreams of robbers in the house; and will not believe the contrary till a search is made,
Psorinum – Despair of recovery; Sad, hopeless. Everything dark; no joy. Melancholy. Feels himself poor; his business to be a failure^ though it is prosperous. Children very fretful day and night; peevish. Easily startled.
INDIFFERENCE
Phos. acid – Indifferent to everything, from being unequal to adverse circumstances. Prostration of mind and body. Averse to talking; says, “leave me alone”. Indifference to the affairs of life. Debilitated by loss of vital fluids, or a long succession of grief, care, disappointed affection.
