Urea and Salts
Urine contains a number of constituents that are useful and nourishing. Dr. Fehren wrote in his world-famous book ‘Introduction to Bio-chemistry’ that human urine contains 19 ingredients in different proportions (useful to the health and nourishment of the body).
One of these ingredients is UREA, which is highly nourishing for the human body. The quantity of urea in 3400 mg of urine is, as much as, 1450 mg. The other main ingredients are ammonia, uric acid, sodium, potassium, creatinin, calcium, magnesium, chloride, inorganic sulphate, P.H., etc.
Hormones
Human urine contains HORMONES, as also described by Dr. K.C. Kuruvilla. The hormone excreted daily in urine is the ‘hormone arythopoirtica’, that stimulates the formation of red cells in the blood. It is the vital substance, says Dr. Kuruvilla, by which actions of all the hormones in the body are controlled, though further research is called for to establish its claim.
Vitamins
Certain vitamins are also eliminated in human urine, specially when they are in excess of the requirement. Vitamin C is always eliminated in the urine of a healthy person. Some amount of vitamin B1 and B2 are also eliminated, mostly as an excess of requirement.
Vitamin A is not eliminated in urine, except in illness like, T.B. and cancer.
Antibodies and Antigens
The presence of anti-bodies was proved by Pasteur in 1931, resulting in the isolation and therapeutic exploitation of specific antigens derived from the urine of patients.
Ferments
A ferment of anti-anaemic properties was separated from the urine of healthy persons by Decastello. Thus the Auto-urine treatment improved the blood picture with favourable effect on the general condition of patients in anemics.
